Rising Stars

August 2005 - Aaron BurrAaron is so excited about being one of Capezio's Future Stars! Twelve-year-old Aaron takes jazz, hip-hop, and ballet, but his favorite style of dance is definitely tap. Aaron dreams of dancing in a movie, however he loves anything that has to do with being on a stage, whether it is dancing or acting. Recently, on July 12th, he was in New York where he appeared on Good Morning America. He won their tap challenge on Tuesday and was able to return on Friday where he won their title of Good Morning America's Greatest Dancer! He had a blast in the Big Apple meeting the cast of Good Morning America, but his favorite part was meeting Tommy Tune who was a judge on the show. This month, Aaron appeared in the August 2005 issue of Red Magazine. This is a British magazine owned by Elle. He was in a photo shoot called The Week-Enders. He appeared in several shots and really enjoyed his first modeling job. Also this month, Aaron competed and won the National Showstopper Title for Highest Scoring Junior Soloist. He can't wait until this winter when Showstopper will air his solo on their show. He is also in their opening number taught by Dena Rizzo. Last April, Aaron appeared on America's Most Talented Kids. He really had a great time in L.A. This was his first trip to Los Angeles and he tried to see all of the sights. One of his favorite parts was to go to the Hollywood Walk of Fame and put his hand and feet into the imprint of Fred Astaire's. This past December, Aaron was in the Nutcracker in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with the New Jersey Ballet. He loved combining dancing and acting together and had a great time during each performance. In December, Aaron also traveled to Reisa, Germany where he was a member of the USA Tap Team. He brought home a silver metal and made some life-long friends from countries around the world. Aaron is thankful for email. This past dance season Aaron has won many titles and scholarships at different dance competitions. One of his favorite things to attend is conventions. He loves taking class from so many talented instructors who are such a great inspiration to him. Aaron has such a good support team at his dance studio, Movin'South. His teacher, Burke Daniel, and director, Mary Helen Harvin, are great. He got his start by taking dance in Charlotte, North Carolina under the direction of Paula and David Man who still travel all the way to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to choreograph his solos. |
