Skylar Paley Brandt began studying ballet at six years old and began serious training at the age of eight.

In 2004, Skylar performed as Clara in the Nutcracker, at SUNY Purchase. She was a winner at Youth American Grand Prix in New York City and performed a competition variation in front of a sold out audience at theYouth American Grand Prix gala at Alice Tully Hall. Skylar also performed a solo variation with the Dance Conservatory Performance Project at Florence Gould Hall. In June 2004, she performed in Coppelia with the American Ballet Theatre and in July she performed with the Royal Ballet in Cinderella at the Metropolitan Opera House. Skylar is also featured in Capezio’s Holiday 2004 Catalog as Clara (The Nutcracker).

Skylar’s dream is to become a principal dancer with the American Ballet Theater.
