Years Dancing: 10 years

My first year of dance was when I was three. The studio I began at was too serious for me to start at so therefore after two years of lessons I began to take less intense dance lessons at a local community club. Once I had reached the age of 10 I wanted to have the opportunity to advance more in different fields of dance. Once again I moved my location of study to the Walnut Street Lodge.

At this establishment the teachers did not spend the year working for one large production, but instead focused on techniques and the passion behind dance. Here I did not need to feel stressed. I could concentrate on my true love of dance and the art of dance. After a year of technical training I relocated to Jill's Dance Shop where I have currently been dancing for three years. Before coming to Jill's, I only practiced the traditional tap, jazz, and ballet, but now I have found a new passion and true love for lyrical. I find that I wish to spend more and more time in the studio perfecting my grasp of lyrical.

With the aid of former Jill's Dance Shop Dancer, Bethany High, I have also found an appreciation for hip-hop. I feel I have finally found a studio where I feel welcome and hope to stay for the remainder of my dancing years.
