The Cavalier Girls are one the hottest dance teams in the NBA! Under the direction of Vandana Patel, the Cavalier Girls consist of 15 beautiful, enthusiastic and talented dancers.

When not dancing on the court, the teams wide background range from teachers and engineers to law students. The Cavalier Girls perform at all Cavaliers home games and make numerous appearances at community events and promotions through out the state of Ohio and U.S. The Cavalier Girls also launched their first ever Swimsuit Calendar, which is available at the Cavaliers team shop in Cleveland, Ohio and online at www.clevelandcavaliers.com

The dates for the Auditions and Pre- Audition Workshops have not been set. (The Pre- Audition Workshops should begin in late April and the Auditions will be held in late June or early July 2005) Below you will find detailed information on the Cavalier Girls, the Audition process, Pre-Audition Workshops and how to get information sent to you!

The Cavalier Girls will consist of 15/16 dance team members and uphold a high standard of quality dance performance and community involvement. The Cavalier organization feels strongly that the dancers should compliment the professionalism represented on and off the court. During the preliminary audition process, the applicants will be judged on dance ability, crowd appeal, showmanship and individual applications. For finalists, there is an interview process, swimsuit photo, solo performance, final dance audition in groups and 2 training classes.

Requirements

• Female dancers who are 18 years of age or older by November 1, 2005. There is no maximum age limit.
• Team members must have flexible schedules for rehearsals (3) times a week, 46 + games, and various appearances/promotions during and prior to the 2005/2006 season.
• Team members must have reliable means of transportation.
