History

The Warrior Girls are a magnificent melting pot of energy, beauty and most of all talent! The 2002-03 season marks the 18th year the Warrior Girls have been an explosive and valuable intently of the Golden State Warriors " Great Time-Out". Their collective talents include, jazz, hip-hip, ballet, lyrical, Hawaiian Hula and Modern dance.

In addition to the rigorous practice schedule, 41 home games and community events, the dancers have a wide variety of occupations ranging from a Vice- President of Industrial Client Sales at Merrill Lynch, students to even full-time mothers.

Under the direction of Shelby Alexander, the girls remain one of the most exciting dance teams in the league. No stranger to the NBA, Shelby entertained fans as a Houston Rockets Power Dancer for six years before joining the Warriors. She is also the Director for the Warriors Jr. Jam Squad, which includes children ranging from 7-13 years of age.
