We know what works!
Our accessories are designed and tested by dancers to ensure that they work for your customers. The gel used in our products is made of either a patented, soft, supple, non-silicone polymer, formulated with medical grade mineral oil, or comfortable 100% medical grade silicone. Both are hypoallergenic, non-toxic and dermatologist tested. The gel doesn’t migrate, so it won’t bottom out, and it virtually eliminates pressure and shear forces. Our convenient packaging, practical instructions and functional products are all designed to make the dancer’s life a little easier!

The story of Capezio embodies sentiment, romance, and integrity of purpose. Mr. Capezio came to this country in 1887 and realized his dream. He became famous as the beloved “Dancers Cobbler.” His shop became a second home for dancers. The care and artistry that goes into the making of Capezio shoes is alive and well today some 120 years later in our Custom Theatrical and Pointe Shoe factory located in Fair Lawn, NJ, just 16 miles east of the original factory on 39th street in New York City. Our flagship store on Broadway at 51st Street in New York City is still as welcoming and nurturing to dancers as it was back then. This pride of craftsmanship and dedication of purpose has been handed down and enhanced by the “family Capezio” who has carried on the tradition for four generations.
Today, with factories and branches across the globe, the Dancer’s Cobbler is meeting the challenges that confront the responsibility of leadership… “In support of a Global Dance Community.” The Capezio organization breathes the diversity of its challenge. Today’s “family Capezio” is comprised of members of the fourth generation of Mr. Capezio, a team of International designers, dancers and former professional dancers, a private foundation whose mission is to support the art of dance, and of course the cobblers. Capezio will always be the “The Dancers Cobbler” to the world’s greatest dancers, because it’s more than a business – it’s a tradition, an ideal, a belief, a spirit – a living testament to a man who gave a lifetime of craftsmanship, artistry, and service to dancers and to dance.

Since its inception in 1983, Peridance Center has been providing a broad spectrum of dance education within a nurturing and professional environment, preparing dancers for the continually evolving international dance arena. The school at Peridance Center offers an open program of classes, a comprehensive Foreign Student Program and a graded children’s program named the PeriChild Program. The Center is also the home of Peridance Ensemble, the renowned contemporary dance company.
Maintaining its original roots in Union Square, Peridance Center is moving this year into a new home; a beautiful landmark building that will feature 6 largeTheatre, a small coffee shop and a Capezio boutique.
Perdiance Center offers technique classes in all major dance disciplines for dancers of all levels. Every year, students and professionals from all over the world come to experience a wide range of workshops and master classes offered by a roster of internationally acclaimed guest teachers and choreographers. Peridance Center has strong affiliations and close relationships with professional companies and dance institutions, creating a vibrant hub for dancers to network. The integration of the traditional with the cutting-edge has enabled the school to maintain its original premise of offering dance education with integrity and high quality without being compromised by vapid commercialism.
